The privileged geographic position of Avila allows you to visit a great
number of cities, villages and interesting places within an hours' travel (Madrid, Salamanca,
Valladolid, Segovia, El Escorial, Toledo, Valle de los Caídos, Sierrar
de Gredos... ). To complete your stay we have prepared a programme of excursions that are made with a minimum of
10 students. If you prefer to organise your own excursions by train, bus, bicycle or rented car, Letras Castellanas will be pleased to help you by supplying transport timetables, maps, city plans and the most advisable itineraries so you can make the most of your trip.
You can adopt the real Spanish lifestyle and take the famous "siesta" or go partying, go round the 300 plus bars where a great deal of the social life takes place, dance in the local discotheques or at the summer street parties. Get to know the old Romanic and Gothic castles and in each place try the rich and varied gastronomic delights. Besides all this we will inform you of any other activity such as plays, films, concerts, expositions...Horse riding, mountain climbing, mountain biking, hang-gliding, mountain walks and contact with nature in general can occupy a great deal of your free time.
